First day of the Nick workshop – scrapping it down

I was painting in Concord, Mass today on a lovely day along the Old North Bridge – the focus was on values, values! and keeping brushes and palette clean for mixing clean clear color. Just spent the last couple hours cleaning brushes. (It was suggested that I was lazy, moi?) Then I scraped and wiped the reflections part of this painting. My plan is to return early tomorrow and see if I can get the reflections right this time. The light may be all wrong though. There are five women in the class and George is patiently pushing us along. Tomorrow we’ll be heading to a nearby barn.

great to see what you’re doing — thanks for posting! many benefits accrue from more than one session.
