Monday Day 1 at Art New England

Third time at Art New England but the first time not doing landsape painting – so I’m learning my way around VAPA = Visual and Performing Arts Center – and people here think this is brutalistic architecture – they haven’t seen Dewey.

We have lots of space – a class of 12 in 2 connected studios.  Ventilation is by window fan – I’m sure Bennington College is more focused on its heating rather than its cooling systems.

Speaking if Dewey, that’s the name of my “dorm” photo to come!

Got out for a landscape before class and 2 paintings in class. Stanley is terrific.

A very talented group of painters too!

The day ended with a glass of Pinot Grigio at the student center. Unlike the Muddy at MIT, ID was not checked.
