A touch of the season, still in progress

This is a work in progress – a glass ornament on a 10 inch square canvas. I want to paint more glass this winter. So many interesting things with color and light in glass.

    Hi Laraine – Thank you.
I was playing funny mind games with myself while painting this. A classmate has a distinctively solid style with muffins, and I was wondering if I could do a painting in that way . . . http://picasaweb.google.com/catherinekehoe8/StudentPaintingsFall2009#5408997232708063010
but at the same time I’ve been thinking about Stanley B and his edgeless quality – could the 2 be more opposite? so I’d try one way and then scrape it off and try another . . .
