Both Piano Paintings now finished and what can I say about photography?

When I’m taking photos of a work in progress, I’m not interested in spending a lot of time fixing the shots, but I would like the “in process” pics reasonably consistent and the final shots accurate. Unfortunately, I have not been happy with the color of my digital photography. The color shifts dramatically – more vibrant and saturated.  I spent much of this evening tweaking these shots in Photoshop and invariably I’m frustrated. My color choices were not so bright!

These paintings below are close to depicting a dark room on a New England winter’s evening and the paintings ARE really this murky.
