Getting my studio set up

Odd hours have been spent in the last couple weeks rearranging and decluttering what once was an illustration/design studio (centered on the drafting table and the computer) to include painting space – shifting the furniture 90 degrees so that I could take advantage of the natural light and free up a table top for still life set ups. This work included moving old client work and photos to the basement. I resisted sorting through it all – but did uncover the pictures below – no surprise that I’m comfortable working outside/brazen? – I managed in Rio, China and the Bronx Botanical Garden. There is also a shot of me at the Piano Factory completing a Rio panorama.

With a little looking I located some of the drawings that the photos show me working on – yes that is a convoluted sentence and all my skilled writer readers are invited to rephrase that one.

I would love to know the story for each of these photos. It’s incredibly exciting that you’ve traveled and sketched in so many parts of the world.
