Painting Class Single Week

A single day’s work, a new, 4 week pose starting next week (a hiccup in the schedule, hoping that the model is well next week) – today, this was another model who doesn’t take breaks. This works strengths? Strong abstract geometric composition and a solid, if not flattering portrait.

This is a 12 inch square stretched canvas, painted with a limited palette ( Yellow Ochre, Vermilion, Indigo, and Titanium White) I do succeed in getting a wide range of values within the limits of the palette, I am craving a bit of turquoise and hot pink . . .
